Tiliguerta Glamping & Camping Village has compiled its own ranking of the 15 most beautiful beaches in the southeastern part of Sardinia, selecting for you some of the renowned beaches, but above all, those authentic hidden gems unknown to many that belong to our ‘secret Sardinia.’ In some cases, these beaches are reachable on foot from Tiliguerta.

PORTO DE S’ILLIXI – MURAVERA

In the top position, we find Porto de S’Illixi: a small inlet nestled among the rocks of Capo Ferrato, still unknown to many and not far from Tiliguerta Glamping & Camping Village. It’s a gem of a beach divided into two parts by a reddish granite rock. The cove is about 200 meters long and is framed by gentle hills rich in Mediterranean vegetation.

MONTE TURNO – CASTIADAS

Located between Sant’Elmo cliff to the north and Marina di San Pietro coastline to the south, Monte Turno is a beautiful bay with white sandy beaches, bathed by clear and transparent waters. The chromatic contrast between the dark volcanic rock of Monte Turno hill and the clear, colorful reflections of the sea against the backdrop of the Mediterranean maquis makes it exceptionally picturesque.

PUNTA MOLENTIS – VILLASIMIUS

The beach of Punta Molentis owes its name to the donkeys (in Sardinian “su molenti”) that were once employed in the granite extraction activity abundant in this wonderful tourist area. This beach is part of the Marine Protected Area of Capo Carbonara, characterized by fine white sand and framed by a hill with the remains of an ancient and suggestive Nuraghe.

CALA SA FIGU – MURAVERA

Heading towards the enchanting oasis of Capo Ferrato, about an hour’s walk from Tiliguerta Glamping & Camping Village, you’ll reach Cala Sa Figu. It’s a secluded and tranquil inlet with an amphitheater-like shape, surrounded by rock walls. Here, you’ll experience the crystal-clear sea and the scents of the Mediterranean maquis in an unforgettable “nature gem” unknown to many.

COSTA REI – MURAVERA

Listed among the 10 most beautiful beaches in the world by Lonely Planet and awarded the “Travel Blogger Award,” Costa Rei is a granite beach that gives the sea shades from emerald green to azure, ending in cobalt blue. Costa Rei, with its symbol being the Scoglio di Peppino (Peppino’s Rock), is divided into various beaches: Le Ginestre, Marina Rei, Piscina Rei, Ziu Franciscu, and Porto Pirastu, where Tiliguerta Glamping & Camping Village is located.

CALA SINZIAS – CASTIADAS

Cala Sinzias Beach stretches for about 2.5 km and is located beyond a refreshing grove of eucalyptus and pine trees. The beach is protected by a promontory and features white, fine sand with a gently sloping seabed, making it suitable for families vacationing with children. A curiosity: in 2015, the protected species of loggerhead sea turtle (caretta caretta) reproduced at Cala Sinzias.

QUIRRA – VILLAPUTZU

Quirra Beach is a long stretch of about 6 km, highly picturesque and relatively unknown. It features multicolored gravel sand that provides a natural exfoliating effect to the feet. While at Quirra Beach, Torre Murtas and the Castle of Quirra are two unmissable and highly suggestive sites offering extraordinary panoramic views.

MARI PINTAU – QUARTU S. ELENA

As the name suggests (“Mari Pintau” in Sardinian means “painted sea”), the color of this beach is truly unique and striking, especially on calm days. It’s a pebble beach with some sandy areas, and the waters are shallow. The peculiarity of Mari Pintau Beach lies in the presence of granite pebbles smoothed by the sea amidst the fine sand.

PORTO GIUNCO – VILLASIMIUS

The beach has white, fine sand, and its waters are transparent with multicolored reflections, attracting numerous advertisers who have chosen it as the backdrop for their commercials. If you’re staying in this area, know that you’ll find the beautiful Notteri Pond, a natural habitat and a must-visit spot for observing the splendid pink flamingos, making it an ideal place to spend time in a truly unique setting.

CALA PIRA – CASTIADAS

The enchanting Cala Pira Beach is characterized by a particular bottom of white and fine sand, with shades tending towards pink. On the northeastern side, you can admire the Tower of Cala Pira, recently restored and surrounded by dunes, granite rocks, and ancient juniper trees. Don’t miss the opportunity to admire this scenery during your vacation in this area.

FORTEZZA VECCHIA – VILLASIMIUS

Also known as Torre Vecchia, Fortezza Vecchia is located about 3 km from the town of Villasimius, between the small harbor and a promontory sheltering the area from the northwesterly winds. Characterized by golden sand, it has a crescent moon shape and is rarely crowded. The crystal-clear sea displays various shades of light green. The seabed is shallow and mostly sandy, making it suitable for family vacations with children.

IS TRAIAS – VILLASIMIUS

Is Traias is a beautiful bay with a distinctive semicircular shape, sheltered from the wind, about 150 meters long and 25 meters wide. At the ends of the beach, two beautiful cliffs enclose the bay, consisting of very fine white sand. The surrounding vegetation is typical of the Mediterranean maquis, low and shaped by the wind. The landscape here is stunning, and the atmosphere is peaceful.

CALA IS CASCIAS, ISOLA DEI CAVOLI – VILLASIMIUS

This cove is located inside the granite island of Cavoli, less than a kilometer from Capo Carbonara. The island, part of the Marine Protected Area of Capo Carbonara, is uninhabited and houses the research center of the Faculty of Biology of Cagliari University. On the third Sunday of July, the feast of Madonna del Naufrago takes place, culminating in a blessing, an underwater prayer, and the tossing of wreaths into the sea.

FERAXI – MURAVERA

This coastal stretch is particularly beautiful, rich in trails that lead to a wide golden beach immersed in the Mediterranean maquis. Protected to the south by the scirocco wind thanks to Capo Ferrato (where Tiliguerta Glamping & Camping Village is located), the beach is exposed to the east wind and the north-east grecale. Nearby, there is a pine forest, an ideal destination for a relaxing picnic.

SOLANAS – SINNAI

Solanas Beach, about 35 km from the capital city of Cagliari and 28 km from Tiliguerta, is a 1.2 km beach with coarse white sand and vegetation that almost reaches the shoreline. On its sides, you can admire picturesque cliffs, rich in coves, while behind it, the unmissable tourist village of the same name stretches out, which we recommend visiting during your stay.
